In the Device Manager, I tried to update the drivers for 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter' by installing Intel HD 4000 graphics drivers using multiple methods below. In all cases, the drivers are detected but while the drivers are being installed, Windows crashes and automatically reboots.

• Letting Windows search automatically for updated driver software
